My name is Paris Starn, and Playing With Food is my love letter to cooking, baking, eating, and sharing the small, special moments woven into everyday life. 

‘Playing with food’ means embracing self-expression and whimsical creativity in the kitchen, from putting a twist on a toasty campfire favorite to hosting a giant pancake breakfast party for all of your friends. My recipes and essays encourage settling into the senses of cooking: capturing the moment dough transforms from gloop to elastic, patiently watching it rise, savoring the intoxicating scent from the oven, and finally enjoying a warm slice slathered with butter and a sprinkle of salt.
